Let’s face it: California is a complete mess.
That’s why millions of Californians are fleeing the state they once loved – because they can no longer afford to live here or stomach living here anymore.
We could blame California Democrats who control every lever of power in the state with their Super-Majority because it is their bad and extreme policies that are causing all the problems that hurt state residents.
But we must also assign blame to California Republicans – because the party is a complete mess and many of the handful of Republican politicians left in office are either unwilling or incapable of mounting an effective fight to fix things.
Reform California has been on a crusade for years to change all that – by opposing Democrat policies, seeking to flip seats from Blue to Red, and even challenging feckless go-along, get along Republican politicians in primaries.
In the 2024 election, Reform California is expanding its campaign to seek the formal creation of a REFORM CALIFORNIA CAUCUS.
The Reform California Caucus will be a group of state and local elected officials who commit to working with the Reform California movement to wage a relentless and aggressive fight against the Democrat Super-Majority at all levels, at all times.
“If we want to fix California, we have to start by fixing the current makeup of the elected officials on our side of the aisle and replace ineffective politicians with true principled fighters,” declares Carl DeMaio, Chairman of Reform California.
DeMaio is not just offering talk, he personally is taking action by announcing he will seek a seat in the California State Assembly.
“We intend to build a Reform California Caucus within the state legislature to help the few Republicans left up there to get organized and put up a better fight,” DeMaio promises.
Local elected officials will also be invited to join a statewide Reform California Caucus clusters focused on counties, cities, and school boards.
“Building a Reform California Caucus of elected officials is the next logical step in our fight to take back California – by elected and then supporting principled fighters as they take collaborative and united actions,” DeMaio says.
How will Reform California accomplish the goal of building this group of fighters?
One of the most powerful weapons Reform California has is its “Plain English” Voter Guide – as well as its proactive efforts to recruit, train, endorse, and support quality candidates for office who commit to be real fighters once they win.
Reform California’s Voter Guide has packed a punch in previous elections — and has become the most downloaded endorsement guide in the entire state with almost half-a-million unique downloads during the 2022 election alone.
“Voters from all backgrounds know the problems are bad in California and they are hungry for change — and we’re excited that many are increasingly relying on this voter guide when they cast their ballots,” DeMaio says.
Reform California’s Voter Guide is distributed to target voters in a number of ways each election cycle — including by tens of thousands of the organization’s volunteers who canvass their neighborhoods and use their social media to virally promote it.
Reform California also convenes ballot harvesting events throughout the state — and provides its volunteers with a template for organizing their own ballot harvesting parties. The Reform California Voter Guide is distributed at what is called “Barbeque, Beer & Ballots” events.
