San Diego County Voter Guide

TAX FIGHTERS RISK BEING SHUT OUT

Under California election laws, the top two candidates in the June primary with the most votes regardless of party will advance to the November runoff. Tax-fighting candidates are at risk of being SHUT OUT of the runoff in several key races by special interests who are funding sellouts who will do their bidding to raise taxes!

HIDDEN TAX HIKES ON YOUR BALLOT!

Politicians are using deceptive titles on ballot measures to hide their tax-raising schemes!

That’s why Carl DeMaio and Reform California urge you to unite behind one tax-fighting candidate in each target race — and have put together a “Plain English” voter guide below with candidate endorsements and simple ballot measure descriptions to expose hidden tax hikes on your ballot!

Local Ballot Measures

Measure A (NO)
City of San Diego Tax Increase

Creates a new “Empty Homes” Tax of $10,000 per home that is charged for any home that is not owner-occupied at least 182 days of the year or rented to another person. We urge a NO vote because San Diego city politicians refuse to eliminate epic levels of wasteful spending and have been on a tax-raising spree for ten years. This is just their latest money grabbing scheme.

Measure H (YES)
Tri-City Healthcare District Management Agreement

Authorizes an agreement to hand over management of Tri City Medical Center to Sharp HealthCare to achieve efficiencies.

Statewide Candidate Races

Governor: Steve Hilton OR Chad Bianco

Both Steve Hilton and Chad Bianco are good men and would make a great Governor. However, there is a risk of a shut out if Californians who want change split their votes - thus allowing two Democrats to advance into the runoff. While Reform California is not endorsing one candidate over the other, we strongly recommend that voters review the latest polling on this race to unite behind whichever candidate is in the lead and has the best chance to make it into the runoff. A proven fighter who will take on the Sacramento Swamp!
