Financial Disclosures

Pursuant to state campaign finance rules, once Carl DeMaio became a candidate for state office, a new committee structure had to be implemented for the Reform California movement. All of the costs for Reform California campaigns are now being shouldered by three entities:

“Reform California with Carl DeMaio Ballot Measure Committee” (FPPC #1268914) covers costs for signature collection for qualification, legal work, and campaigns for and against state and local ballot measures – but cannot be used for candidate support.

“Reform California Voter Guide” (FPPC #1446747) covers direct mail costs of the Voter Guide and is the vehicle for receiving MATCHING FUNDS from other candidates and campaigns.

“Carl DeMaio for State Assembly” (FPPC #1464955) funds all costs associated with developing the Reform Agenda and policy proposals; candidate recruitment, training and endorsements; compiling and publishing the Reform California Voter Guide; volunteer recruitment and election integrity monitoring; digital ads and texts on the voter guides; ballot harvesting events and initiatives; and digital media shows and news programs.
