Town Hall: Fighting Crime and Protecting Yourself in Orange County

Thursday, November 9, 2023

5:30 pm

7:00 pm

Dana Point Community Center - 34052 Del Obispo St Dana Point, CA 92629

Crime is rising in Orange County – and concerned citizens are invited to a community Town Hall to understand why crime is increasing in our area and what we can do to stop it and keep our families and communities safe!

According to the California Department of Justice, in 2021 Orange County had an alarmingly high rate of violent crime of 8,955 victims. When including property crimes, Orange County resident’s chance of becoming a victim drastically increases at 59,875 in 2022 alone!

Unfortunately, state politicians – and even some local politicians – are not only not responding to help combat rising crime, they are actively promoting policies to make our neighborhoods less safe!

We cannot sit idly by as crime rises in our community. We risk the situation getting too far out-of-control to stop it - or worse, we risk becoming victims ourselves.

Key Presentations at this Town Hall:

  • Crime Trends and Causes: Hear the latest on what types of crimes are happening in the community and why these crimes are on the rise (implementation of Prop 47, Prop 57, no bail policies, etc.)
  • Protecting Yourself: Know your self-defense and 2nd Amendment rights and why record numbers of Californians are buying their first gun – and responsibly learning how to safely store and use it
  • Mobilizing for Change: How we can fight back against CA politicians who are implementing dangerous policies to benefit criminals while simultaneously trying to undermine your 2nd Amendment rights to make it harder for you to protect yourself

This Town Hall is free for all attendees and we will be hearing from public safety advocates and elected officials.  Come with your comments, concerns and questions!

Speakers -

Michael Schwartz, Chairman of Orange County Gun Owners
