A Free Event that Makes Voting Easier, Fun and Secure

This year many voters feel overwhelmed by the ballot they have received – with a bunch of confusing ballot measures and hundreds of candidates running for office.

Voters need to be aware of a number of tax hikes that are hidden on this year’s ballot and several measures that will make homelessness worse, not better. Control of several important local boards hang in the balance – and we desperately need better leadership from our schools to Sacramento!

That’s why we’re hosting a series of “Barbeque, Beer and Ballots” events in every neighborhood in San Diego county to make voting easier, fun and secure.

Barbeque, Beer and Ballots – Poway & Rancho Bernardo
Moderated by Carl DeMaio

  • Plain English Voter Guide: Every attendee will get a copy of our “Plain English Voter” guide that gives a simple description of each ballot measure and scores candidates running for every office based on their positions on opposing taxes, fighting crime, securing the border, improving schools, creating jobs, and more. You can access the county-wide guide here (www.SanDiegoElectionGuide.org)
  • Election Integrity: Carl will share tips for how to vote securely and how to use an online database to verify your ballot is counted. Carl will also discuss how you can monitor the balloting process as a volunteer.
  • Your Questions: We leave ample time for your questions on any item on the ballot or any topic of concern!

PLUS: Meet a number of candidates running for office in our area, pick up lawn signs and door hangers, and learn how you can get more involved in the campaigns as a volunteer.
