In the Winter of 2023, Californians even saw their utility bills DOUBLE and TRIPLE in just one month! Unfortunately, that is not going to be just a one-time aberration. That will be the new norm in California if our state politicians continue their reckless policies.
“The public has a right to know that they are being forced to pay higher utility rates than they should be paying – and policymakers need to take immediate action to roll back their hidden state taxes and costly mandates that spike our utility rates,” says Carl DeMaio, Chairman of Reform California.
While California politicians (and their friends in the liberal media) desperately try to shift the blame to the utility companies, California politicians are the real culprits behind the sky-high electricity and gas utility rates!
In fact, a recent independent audit of California utility rates by the Transparency Foundation found state politicians adding over $4.5 BILLION in hidden state taxes into utility rates without disclosing them on your bills!
On top of that, those same politicians have imposed costly climate change mandates that raise rates even higher.
