Results are still pouring in from California’s March 5th Primary Election, and millions of ballots remain to be counted — but the initial tallies indicate a Republican surge in competitive races.
Carl DeMaio, chairman of Reform California and a candidate for State Assembly — placing first in his primary race, says that his “Reform California Movement” had an amazing election night.
“We had some incredible wins for our Reform California movement and our fight against the Sacramento Swamp last night — this shows voters are hungry to shake-up our state’s broken political system and demand action to fix the problems that are causing so many to flee California,” said DeMaio.
DeMaio offered the following analysis on the key races Reform California is tracking:
REFORM CALIFORNIA CAUCUS
On election night, Reform California’s endorsed priority candidates for State Assembly and State Senate fared amazingly well.
In DeMaio’s own race for CA State Assembly District 75, he holds a commanding first-place lead with 44% of the vote even after the Sacramento Swamp spent $1.4 million against his campaign in dishonest attacks.
“We are on track to elect a team of bold and aggressive fighters to the California State Legislature to shake things up!” said DeMaio. “My hope is our wins in these state races will encourage more Republican candidates and elected officials to be more aggressive in fighting the Sacramento Swamp!”
Republican fighters led Democrat candidates in 11 of Reform California’s 15 key races:
PROP 1 – Diverting Homeless Treatment Funds to Developers
Gov. Gavin Newsom spent over $25 million and had the liberal media on his side on his deceptive bond measure, while Reform California and its allies spent only $250k (a mere 1% of Newsom’s war chest).
Statewide election results currently have this race “too close to call” — at 50/50% — which is a positive position to be in.
“These results show we can win even against deceptive ballot titles on these bad measures,” says DeMaio.
OTHER KEY RACES
Because of California’s crazy ballot counting process, millions of ballots are likely left to be counted statewide and final results won’t be known for 3-4 weeks in some close races.
“We will monitor and update you as things change – but I’m very pleased with the results in key races where Reform California targeted our scarce resources,” concluded DeMaio.
Based on these results, there is a lot of movement in California away from the far-Left. DeMaio is asking for the public to help hasten that progress by contributing whatever you can to Reform California’s efforts in the General Election fight today.
